Welcome to Tam in the Cabin!

Hello you!

Thank you for your curiosity to come and check out this super awesome, probably at times confusing, all-over-the-place page that is the mirror image of my mind: a bit spontaneous, a tad over-thinking.. welcome!

Since this is my first blog ever, I guess this is the part where I write about myself. Here goes it!

SPECS:
Name: Tamara
Where from?: Montreal, Canada
... oh wait, I'm not a car.

My name is Tamara, I'm 27 years old and I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. I come from a semi-traditional Armenian background (semi-traditional because I was allowed to go out at night, but would also often hear "What will the neighbours think?!?!" when I'd misbehave.. which would obviously never happen...). Despite going to an Armenian school almost all of my life, I knew that there was a curious side to me that wanted to branch out and not live the way a traditional Armenian woman would lead her life (marriage, house, family in the suburbs with 9-5 job). I did it a bit differently.. I moved about an hour and a half away from the city with my partner and here we are, a couple of city folk exploring nature, getting our hands, backs, butts, everything dirty, being farmer-ish and stuff.. (yeah.. I still need to figure these things out). So, this blog is about me sharing my stories: city girl newly settled in the woods.. sometimes lost, sometimes excited about chickens.. trying to figure it out!

Air-headed artist at heart (most people would say I'm a Disney princess who lives in a bubble), respiratory therapist by profession, I'm a sensitive soul who loves adventure and new experiences.. but also who thinks a lot and analyzes these things.

The man of the house  is out on his yearly camping trip with his sister and niece (insert "awww" here), so, for the first time EVER, I'm home alone . *Let me give you a bit of a background of my life situation right now. Although my home is 100% in the woods now, we did have an apartment in the city up until a week ago, so staying in Montreal is something I did/do quite often, mostly because I still work there (hopefully in the process of finding something closer than 1h30 commute), also because most of our friends and family did not follow us into the woods.*

So, since I think a lot, I thought I'd start a blog! It's nice to share thoughts and stories.

I'll leave it at that for now. Don't want to bore you with a long blabbering page of nonsense from the get-go. Must preserve valuable material for future posts. *Expect chicken stories, random projects that end up with stab wounds from knives and axes, building a beach, painting, ukulele, dog videos, maple syrup-making fails.. and everything else the country life brings our way*

Ok thank you for reading!!! WELCOME TO TAM IN THE CABIN!!

this isn't actually Tam in the Cabin.. this is Leo in the water

*mic drop*
